Q: How do I go about purchasing a vehicle online?

A: There are many ways to purchase a vehicle online.

     1.)You can purchase sight unseen and the vehicle can be delivered to you.
     2.)You can purchase sight unseen and pick the vehicle up at your leisure.
     3.)You can set up a time to view the vehicle and purchase it directly from our dealership.
     4.)You can have a second party inspect the vehicle for you if you are not able to view it directly.


Q: Do you run CarFax reports on vehicles?

A: No. We do run AutoCheck reports, which are similar to CarFax reports, at your request.


Q: Do you accept deposits on vehicles purchased online?

A: Generally we do not accept deposits; full payment is required within 3 business days of agreement to purchase.


Q: What kind of payments do you accept?

A: We accept cashier's checks, cash, and personal checks (out of state checks must clear first).


Q: Do you accept payments from online banks?

A: We accept payment from any source that will distribute a check. Vouchers or drafts are not accepted.


Q: If I purchase a vehicle sight unseen and this vehicle is not as described do I have to take delivery?

A: If a vehicle is delivered to you, by Clark Motor Company, and there are flaws or the description does not match the vehicle you do not have to take delivery of the vehicle and your money will be refunded.


Q: Do you have any more photographs of the vehicle I may see?

A: We will do our best to take multiple photographs, at your request, of the vehicle of your choosing. They will be posted on our website, www.ClarkMotorCo.com, in our gallery by 5:00 p.m. EST if the request is during normal business hours.


Q: What kind of warranty is available on the vehicle I am purchasing?

A: Each vehicle is different. Vehicles that are still covered under the manufacturer's warranty are not covered by Clark Motor Company. Most vehicles that are out of warranty do to mileage or age carries a 30 Day or 1,000 mile motor and driveline ONLY warranty. Check with your salesman for details.


Q: What does Clark Motor Company do before delivery of a vehicle?

A: Clark Motor Company has the vehicle detailed when we take possession of the vehicle. Clark Motor Company has the vehicle mechanically checked (brakes, oil, fluids, hoses, belts, etc.) for safety purposes.


Q: When will my title be delivered?

A: Delivery of titles will vary depending on the lien holder that we get the title from, your temporary tags do not expire for 30 days from date of purchase, and titles are generally delivered within 30 days of purchase. If you have financed the vehicle you will not receive an original title, just a copy, your financial institution will have the title and will deliver it to you upon final payment of your loan.


Q: Do you offer 'Buy here, pay here?’

A: No. Clark Motor Company only finances through reputable lending institutions. Although not everyone is going to qualify for financing through a normal lending institution Clark Motor Company feels that if you are not getting a good rate or term on you loan then it is not going to be the best automobile buying experience for you the consumer. Special financing offers terms that are too long and interest rates that too high, with inflated payments and drawn out terms your vehicle will lose value and in some cases the special financing will not improve your credit rating.


Q: Do you service vehicles other than vehicles sold by Clark Motor Company?

A: We service most makes and models, and the convenience of having loaner vehicles for you to drive, with an appointment, makes Clark Motor Company the service center for your vehicle.


Q: How often is www.ClarkMotorCo.com updated?

A: New inventory is added Monday through Friday depending on if there is new inventory and also depending on the weather and is denoted by a ‘NEW’ on the inventory page. Inventory is considered new for one week. Old Inventory is removed once a week.


Q: How accurate is the information on www.ClarkMotorCo.com?

A: Each vehicle is checked over for options but occasionally typos do occur and mistakes can be made. Every effort is put into accuracy and can/will be double checked upon request.


Q: I searched the internet and found a similar vehicle priced much higher than what you have listed, is there something wrong with this vehicle?

A: Clark Motor Company has been serving central Ohio since 1978 under the philosophy that it easier to lose a customer than it is to gain one, which is why we inspect vehicles thoroughly before we purchase them. If Clark Motor Company purchases a vehicle and gets a good price on it we will pass the savings on to you.


Q: What kind of personal service can I expect from Clark Motor Company?

A: Clark Motor Company is family owned and operated. Phil Clark Sr. started selling vehicles in 1947 and has passed down ethical business practices to his sons who run Clark Motor Company today. We work on a handshake and our word…the way business should be conducted.


Q: I purchased a vehicle from out of state do I pay Ohio sales tax?

A: If you purchased a vehicle out of state you do not pay Ohio sales tax. When you register your vehicle in your home state you will pay your state’s sales tax, when applicable. Ohio residents will pay the tax rate for the county they reside in at the time of purchase.


Q: Do you take trades and if so how do you evaluate the trade without seeing it?

A: We do accept trades on most of our vehicles. When evaluating your trade we take mileage, options and your description into account when figuring and estimate of what your vehicle is worth and will then quote fair market value. When you bring your trade in we will then give you a final value for your trade.


Q: Do you offer an extended service contract?

A: We do offer an extended service contract on most of our vehicles that covers the vehicle bumper to bumper and goes into effect 30 days after purchase. Most of our inventory are late model vehicles that qualify for service contracts and also carry the remainder of the factory warranty but Clark Motor Company sometimes will find an older exceptional vehicle or a higher mileage vehicle that is in our regular inventory that will not qualify for a service contract due to the regulations of the service contract provider.


Q: Can Clark Motor Company locate the vehicle I want if you do not have it on your lot?

A: If Clark Motor Company does not have the vehicle you are looking for we will try to locate a vehicle for you that matches your criteria.


Q: Is leasing offered by Clark Motor Company?

A: Clark Motor Company offers a full line of leasing and purchase options on the vehicles we have on our lot.


Q: When I agree to purchase a vehicle online how do I fill out the paperwork?

A: Ideally you will be at Clark Motor Company for the delivery of your vehicle. If it is the case where you cannot make it then Clark Motor Company then Clark Motor Company will fax a purchase order for your verification and when all information is verified we will overnight the appropriate paperwork for you to sign and you will overnight it back to us.

Q: Do you offer financing out of state?

A: All lending institutions are different when it comes to out of state loans. Check with our finance manager to see if you can receive out of state financing. We are always more than happy to fax a purchase order to the lending institution of your choice.
